How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?

I can think of younger days when living for my life
Was everything a man could want to do.
I could never see tomorrow, but I was never told about the sorrow.

And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend a this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again.

I can still feel the breeze that rustles through the trees
And misty memories of days gone by
We could never see tomorrow, noone said a word about the sorrow.

And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again.

Bee Gees lyrics, 1973

I don't know what to say about the picture and I'm sick about our friend.

That is a picture of our "young marrieds plus some single friends, group". We were so innocent back in the day. Little did we know just how much pain would be coming our way down the road. The first stanza of the song speaks to that picture of a younger us and our friends.
Yes, we are ALL just sick about what has happened.

Ah, sweet days of youth! What a blessing we all have in the friendships forged in those days that remain so very strong to this day.

Hurt. Disappointment. Sorrow. Yet within them all, hope. God is faithful.
